T.J Dillashaw har fått nog av att andra får titelchanser innan han får sin, enligt den före detta mästare själv, rättmätiga möjlighet på revansch mot Dominick Cruz.
Aldo, McGregor, Demetrious, Garbrandt – T.J Dillashaw då?
T.J Dillashaw (13-3) anser att han har gjort nog för att få sin chans på revansch mot Dominick Cruz (22-1), vilket däremot inte ser ut att hända någon gång snart.
I en intervju med MMAJunkie Radio förundrade sig Dillashaw över hur Cruz kan hitta så många motståndare han hellre möter än honom, den utifrån rankingen rättmätiga titelutmanaren:
“(Cruz) is talking about how he wants to fight Aldo, that he wants to fight Demetrious, but he knows it isn’t going to happen. Demetrious is hurt and Aldo wants McGregor. And now he wants to say that he wants to fight the No. 8-ranked guy instead of the No. 1-ranked guy that just beat the No. 2-ranked.”

Cruz har en tendens att skada sig och har gått miste om flera år av tävling på grund av främst knäproblem. Dillashaw menar på att han har en begränsad tidslucka att revanschera sig mot ”The Dominator,” innan han skadar sig och aldrig mer kan kliva in i oktagonen igen.
“And then he wants to act like he’s all that when the decision comes out, that he walked through everyone and he’s the man. It was a close fight, and I just want to redo it. I want to prove I’m the better, more skilled fighter and I want to get him before he gets hurt and can never fight again, because that day seems like it’s always coming.”

Nu när det är prat om en titelmatch mellan Cruz och Cody Garbrandt (10-0), rankad hela sju platser lägre än Dillashaw, anser T.J att mästaren kommer fly så länge som det bara går, ”precis som han slåss.”
“And then fighting a No. 8-ranked guy is going to sell more tickets than fighting me? I just don’t believe it. He’s going to say whatever he can to try to not fight me. And he’s going to continue to do so. He’s going to run as long as he can, just like he fights.”
