Den tidigare dubbelmästaren Conor McGregor håller för tillfället på att förbereda sig inför sin efterlängtade UFC-comeback. Irländaren har inte gått match sedan han skadade benet i matchen mot den topprankade lättviktaren Dustin Poirer på UFC 264.
McGregor har ryktats att gå match på storgalan UFC 300 i början av nästa år. Tidigare i veckan uttalade sig irländaren om att gå match på den hypade galan.
– Jag är på, svarade McGregor på en fråga om UFC 300 i ett X-inlägg.
– Jag är övertygad om att vi kommer att boka ett datum. Det finns ingen som håller tillbaka. Det är mycket som händer bakom kulisserna, men alla inbladade jobbar hårt för att få det att hända.
Enligt UFC-chefen Dana White kommer McGregor att ta sig an den topprankade lättviktaren Michael Chandler. Chandler kommer senast från submission-förlust mot Dustin Poirier på UFC 281. Innan dess besegrade Chandler UFC-veteranen Tony Ferguson på UFC 274.
McGregors senaste seger i UFC kom mot den forne UFC-fightern Donald Cerrone år 2021. Innan dess förlorade irländaren mot den tidigare UFC-mästaren i lättvikt Khabib Nurmagomedov.
