Kvällssvepet: Holloway till McGregor: ”Don’t be scared homie”
Fjäderviktskungen Max ”Blessed” Holloway som i helgen återigen besegrade Jose Aldo via TKO i tredje ronden, vädjar till lättviktsmästaren Conor McGregor att ”styra upp” sitt liv.
”Don’t be scared homie” säger Holloway med ett skratt. Till de som tror att McGregor på något sätt skulle vara rädd för honom tror Holloway snarare att det är en business-strategi. McGregor har alltid varit en smart affärsman och (oftast) gjort det bästa för att få sitt varumärke att växa.
Holloway ger McGregor respekt för att han besegrade honom ”when we were kids” och Holloway är inte arg över det. Han säger även att han gärna möter de tre män som besegrat honom i UFC: McGregor, Dennis Bermudez och Dustin Poirier,

Hoppas att ryktena om McGregor ej stämmer
Det har florerat många rykten kring McGregor, från barfighter till fejder med irländska maffiafamiljer. Holloway hoppas dock att detta inte stämmer utan att allt är en ploj för att ge McGregor tid i rampljuset trots att han inte fightas.
”We’re all fighters here. He ain’t scared of nobody, he’s a business man. Fair play to him.
You are hearing crazy things about the dude, I hope it’s not true, you know. I hope we don’t see another successful athlete fall because of the shit you do outside the octagon, and even in it. I wish nothing but the best for him.”
”He can hold on to that fight years ago when we were little kids on an undercard, he can live with it, he can run with it.
He did win, fair play to him. When the octagon door closes you can’t lie. When you are outside you can lie, but when you are in the octagon the truth comes out.”
