I lördags fick vi se Tito Ortiz knocka sin gamle rival Chuck Liddell i den första ronden. Matchen kritiserades hårt både på förhand och i efterhand, bland annat för att Liddell inför mötet inte hade gått någon match på åtta år.
En av de som var allra skarpast i sin kritik var UFC-presidenten Dana White.

I en intervju tidigare under veckan gick White loss på promotorn Oscar De La Hoya, som han kallade för ”pundare”. Dessutom passade han på att skicka en passning till Ortiz, som han kallade för ”nuthead”.
”Tito and Oscar De La Dummy (De La Hoya) were made for each other. Those two fucking nutheads,” sade White bland annat.
Nu väljer ”The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” att besvara UFC-presidentens kritik. Detta genom ett nyligt uttalande på sin Instagram, där han bland annat ifrågasätter den kompensation han och Liddell fick när företaget såldes till IMG för fyra miljarder dollar.

“Dana White – I appreciate everything you have done for me and the sport. In my humble opinion I don’t feel Chuck and I were compensated correctly for all that we gave and sacrificed for the company,” skriver Ortiz.
“When you sold the company for over 4.5 billion dollars, how much of that did Chuck and I get? Nothing… I’m trying to build something new and rewarding for the sport!
“This is not about you, it is not about me,” fortsätter han. “I want it to be about the fighters and giving them the opportunity to share in all of the rewards this business has to offer where they don’t have to fight when they are 43 and 48.”
