I never thought I’d see the day where it’s this popular.”
Men varför har det blivit så här? Det ser ut som att det är den stora fokuset man satt på underkortet som gör att folk gärna spelar pengar på hela matchkortet, istället för bara huvudeventet.
”In boxing, most people can’t even tell you who is on the undercard,” säger Jay Rood, sports book-ansvarig på MGM Resorts International. ”If you go to an MMA card, the buzz in the crowd and prior to that could be just as much about one of the first fights on the card. We try to put lines on as many fights as we can because of demand. The great thing about MMA is people are going for all the fights.”
Det har gått ganska trögt upp till den här punkten, men betting har även sakta men säkert blivit synonymt med MMA också. Det är även ett tecken på boxningens skick i USA där det i princip är Manny Pacquiao och Floyd Mayweather Jr som styr showen i boxning i dagsläget, för det finns i dagsläget inte speciellt många andra intressanta boxare.
