”He is very tough. Since all fights begin standing up, I would have to work on my striking a lot, but Chad Mendes showed what Conor is like on the ground, he had his way with him. No doubt my Jiu-Jitsu is one of the best in the division so it would be like a black belt facing a white belt. I think he has been beating guys because of the way he talks, he bothers them and that can’t happen. I have a dream to fight against the best and he is one of the toughest guys in the division, so I’m sure this fight will happen. When it does, he can say whatever he wants, it won’t faze me. I will do what I do best. I will walk forward and use my Jiu-Jitsu.”
”He is really tough. He lost to Cerrone, but if you watched the fight you saw how Cerrone kept hitting him and he did not give up. I’m sure it’ll be a great fight. I really needed to fight again this year. Unfortunately I had that injury in my last fight. This is all I wanted. If I win this fight, it will surely be a big step closer to the title. I hope I can win two more fights next year and secure a title shot.”
