”People say it’s The UFC Experience […] I call it The Roy Nelson Experience because if you watch a Roy Nelson-fight you’re like: I want to watch that guy. Win, lose, I don’t care, I’m gonna come and watch his fights. Some guys you watch, and you’re like: eeeh, I don’t think I’m gonna watch that guy again […] but everytime you watch Roy Nelson you’re like: I can’t wait till the next one.”
”It’s not like in boxing where it’s about building records. Because if you want to build a record it’s not that hard to do, you can go: I want to fight that guy, that guy and that guy, and then when the payday comes, I’ll fight the big one. […] Who did Mayweather fight last? Berto? Who’s Berto? That’s not real boxing. […] The thing with MMA is […] you’re gonna win some, lose some, win some, unless you pick your opponents. I never pick my opponent, I just go out there and fight.”
”With Floyd it’s: picking people apart, then run, pick people apart, then run. I call that ’tag’, I don’t call that fighting. Fighting is where, if we’re on the end of a street, and there’s no time limit – who’s gonna win? That’s what I consider a fight.”
”It takes two to make good tango […] If we want to go to the ground, we’ll go to the ground. Either way it’s going to be fun and exciting.”
