”[Jon] is a lot better than I thought he was,” säger Sonnen på presskonferensen efter UFC 159. ”You know, to beat a guy is one thing – to beat a guy on his own game is a whole other thing. He is the best fighter I have ever fought.”
”It’s though. The last thing I want to do i disparage Anderson Silva. But It is tough for me. I whipped him for 30 minutes, he whipped me for 30 seconds. I whipped Jon for zero seconds and he whipped me the entire fight. It’s just though. And you are asking me for my opinion? Jon is better.”
”I don’t think you have the right to celebrate victory if you’re not going to be a man in defeat,” berättar Sonnen. ”I knew the rules going in. I accept the outcome of the duel every time and if I got to pat the other guy on the back, that’s protocol. That’s procedure and that is how this sport should be done. I will never offer an excuse, and I never have. The better guy won.”
