Nu när UFCs president Dana White har gett besked om att det blir Yoel Romero som blir nästa man att utmana om bältet börjar fighters att säga sitt. En av dem som tror att Michael Bisping kan ta hem segern är Gegard Mousasi.
Mellanviktsmästaren Michael Bisping (30–7) kommer med största sannolikhet att försvara bältet mot Yoel Romero (13-1) i maj, det meddelade UFCs president när han gästade podcasten UFC Unfiltered.
Trots att de flesta inte ger Bisping någon vidare chans är dock topputmanaren Gegard Mousasi (41–6–2) inte lika säker på att Romero vinner. I en intervju med MMA Junkie sade ”The Dreamcatcher” Mousasi att ”The Count” Bisping har en god chans att vinna:
“You have to make Yoel Romero the favorite, but I think Michael Bisping, his style can give Yoel Romero difficulties,” sade Mousasi. “Obviously, Yoel Romero is going to be favored, but I give Michael Bisping a good chance of winning.”
Mousasi passade även på att berätta vem han tror kommer få chansen efter Romero:
“Jacare is up there,” sade han. “Yoel Romero is fighting Michael Bisping, so it’s me and ‘Jacare.’ It all depends on what is the better performance and what the UFC decides.”
