Alexander Gustafsson imponerade på många när han vann lördagens match mot Thiago Silva och där ibland Chael Sonnen som agerar analytiker för Fuel Tv efter UFC on Fuel Tv 2 Gustafsson vs. Silva. Sonnen säger att han tror att Gustafsson måste gå en match till och då såklart vinna för att få en titelchans. Dan Henderson är den som står i vägen för Gustafssons titelchans, då han ska möta vinnaren i matchen mellan Jon Jones och Rashad Evans som går nu på lördag under UFC 145.
