UFC:s populäre fjäderviktare Clay ”The Carpenter” Guida (32-15) tror att titelmatchen vid UFC 189 mellan José Aldo (25-1) och utmanaren ”The Notorious” Conor McGregor kommer sluta med att mästaren får irländaren att äta upp sina ord och att en förbannad Aldo inte är någon man vill stöta på inne i oktagonen.
Clay ”The Carpenter” Guida var nyligen och besökte Bruce Buffers podcast där han hade följande att säga om titelmatchen i fjädervikt som sker den 11 juli Las Vegas: ”I think a quiet Jose Aldo, which we’ve seen, is a scary man. He’s a scary and dangerous Aldo, the more Conor pushes him, the more he tries to bully him…I think it could get ugly”. Trots att Guida är väl medveten om att McGregors upptåg kommer leda till fler pay-per-views så anser han inte att den belöningen är tillräckligt stor för vad det kostar att göra José Aldo upprörd.
”It’s going to sell a lot of tickets, it’s going to sell a lot of pay per views. It’s going to be awesome. But Jose Aldo has never been more motivated than he is, now, in his fight career. And, man, this guy, he’s out for blood. I know that Conor is doing both – he’s training hard and he’s selling the fight – but I think Jose Aldo is going to show him what it’s all about”. Guida kommer senast från en vinst mot Robbie Peralta vid UFC Fight Night 63 där han vann ett enhälligt domarbeslut, vilket gör att har ett rekord på tre vinster och två förluster i fjädervikt.
