Enligt amerikanen skulle de två vara kompatibla i oktagonen, samtidigt som han erkänner att den forne welterviktsmästaren skulle vara favorit inför det hypotetiska mötet.
Apropå Georges St. Pierres (25-2) potentiella återkomst till UFC, har han redan en frivillig motståndare till densamme. Matt Brown (19-12) har alltid velat möta kanadensaren, som för tillfället inte visat tecken på en återkomst inom någon omedelbar framtid.
”That’s a huge, huge fight. I’d love to have that fight. I always thought I matched up well with him,” berättade han under podcasten ”The Great MMA Debate”.
Enligt Brown skulle matchningen vara perfekt för St. Pierres återkomst, då en chans på bältet sannolikt inte skulle äga rum i 33-åringens första match tillbaka i organisationen.
”I think I am in the right position for it. I’m not the champion, he’s not going to come back and get the championship fight right off the bat. I’m in the right position,” förklarade Brown. ”I can look at it objectively on paper and see that he would be the favorite. I would hope that it would be a five rounder. I would love to do it. I’ve always wanted to fight Georges.”
