“I could definitely go lower (than bantamweight),” berättade Dillashaw för MMAjunkie. “I feel like it’s very easy for me to fight at 135 (pounds). I like it that way. I don’t want to cut too much weight. I want to keep my speed because that’s a huge advantage for me. I could always cut a little weight.”
“Demetrious Johnson is an excellent fighter – in my mind, pound-for-pound one of the best in the world,” sa han. “His technique is flawless. His footwork is awesome. He’s super fast. My goal is to be pound-for-pound the best in the world, and to do that, I want to beat guys like Demetrious Johnson. Do I feel like we should GET PAID more (to fight)? Yeah. But I just want to create my name to be as big as possible. That’s definitely a fight that I would love to have one day.”
“We have no bad blood with each other,” sa han. “He’s a great champion and one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. He’s got great skill, very fast. But that’s what I want – fights that are going to boost my name and help me in the pound-for-pound (raknings) and to be a dominant champion.”
“I’m always looking for something ahead, but I’ve got to focus on Barao first,” sa Dillashaw. “You can’t look past your opponent, and I can’t look to what I’m going to do after Barao. We’re going to respect him and finish him. Then we’ll talk about it.”
