Overeems uttagning i Idol gick väl sisodär.
Det kom ut en nyhet om att Alistair Overeem, mer känd som Übereem, skulle deltaga på Dream 15 mot Ricco Rodriguez. Men det här var allt annat än färdigt, om man nu vågar lita på hans tränare.
”Right now, I can just say he’s not going to fight Ricco, and he’s not sure if he’s going to fight in DREAM,” säger Overeems tränare Martin De Jong. ”The only thing that’s uncertain is that he’s not sure he’s going to fight in DREAM.15. If he’s going to fight, he’s probably not going to fight Ricco Rodriguez. We didn’t receive any contract. [DREAM] proposed Ricco Rodriguez, but they didn’t send a contract and definitely we did not sign it. If Alistair’s going to fight at DREAM.15, then he’s not going to fight Ricco. That’s pretty much for sure.”
Och med 10 dagar kvar tills galan drar igång, men ännu ingen motståndare, så verkar det inte speciellt troligt att Overeem ska deltaga på galan överhuvudtaget. Mest troligt blir det att hans nästa match blir av på Strikeforce, antagligen mot Fabricio Werdum.
