Före detta tungviktsmästare i UFC, och ”King of Pancrase” Bas ”El Guapo” Rutten genomgick en nackoperation igår. Det är på grund av problem med nerverna i nacken som orsakat obehag, och även försvagat hans armar. Han fick tre plattor inopererade i nacken för att underlätta för nerverna. Rutten meddelade nyheterna själv via sin facebook-sida.
”I don’t know if the text shows with the pics, but tomorrow morning I will get my neck surgery at 7AM (Pacific). They will fuse three discs together in my neck which will make space for my nerves that are caught right now, and then hopefully I will get my strength back!

Nervproblemen påverkade ”El Guapo” stark, och orsakade svaghet i hans högra arm. Hans högra biceps hade försvagats så pass mycket av nervproblemen att han inte ens kunde lyfta en 2,3 kilos hantel med den. Som tur är var operationen lyckad, och åter igen tog ”El Guapo” till Facebook för att förklara läget till MMA-världen.
”A ’so so’ night, lot of pain but feel much better now, the Doc came by saying when they freed up my nerve (they were testing them simultaneously) they jumped from 30% to 100%, so that’s a good thing to hear! Get back later to you guys, thanks for all the prayers and best wishes!”
Holländaren Rutten agerade nyligen kommentator för Invicta FC 4, och förväntas fortsätta sin roll som en av de två programledare för TV-programmet Inside MMA.
