“He let me know the No. 1 priority is getting my health back, and I won’t lose my spot,” berättade Holdsworth för MMAjunkie Radio.
“I’m still feeling some symptoms,” sa han. I wouldn’t say too many headaches, but I don’t feel 100 percent yet. If you’d have asked me one year ago, I would have said, ‘I’ll be back in one month or so,’ but you don’t really know with concussions and head trauma.”
“As soon as I accepted the fact that I was injured and my brain needed time to recover, it was a lot easier to cope than me not knowing and saying, ‘should I do this practice? Is it too much?’” sa Holdsworth. “So now I’m just trying to enjoy life, take it a day at a time, and no rush. I’m training almost every day like I used to, but I’m just not doing those two or three a day grinds, like I’m in a fight camp. There’s no reason to.”
“I have a target on getting my health back,” sa Holdsworth. “That’s my target No. 1 right now. I want to be healthy and be able fight again and get cleared.”
