UFC har en ny guldgosse och enligt kommentatorn Kenny Florian kan 19-årige Sage ”Super” Northcutt bli tio gånger så stor som självaste Georges St. Pierre.
Sage Northcutt (6-0) debuterade för UFC i helgen och lyckades efter stort ståhej kring 19-åringen levererade han på allra bästa sätt. Ett avslut i UFC-debuten kan leda till stora saker för Northcutt och Dana White är bara en av de som hyllat honom dagarna i ända.
En annan är Kenny Florian (14-6) som gav sin syn på 19-åringen under podcasten Anik & Florian under gårdagen. Enligt kommentatorn kan han gå hur långt som helst inom sporten, till och med tio gånger längre än en av de främsta mästarna någonsin.
”Talk about potential. Talk about dollar signs. This kid could be Georges St-Pierre times 10. When you look at his look and the way that he fights. The explosiveness. This kid, I think he got to the state championships after only a year of wrestling in high school. He was wrestling at Texas A&M after only a couple years of wrestling. He started wrestling very late. This kid is an athlete through and through. Just look at that flip.”
Om MMA-karriären däremot inte fungerar för ”Sage” Northcutt har han förmodligen inga problem med att hitta något annat att ägna sig åt.
”Let’s say fighting doesn’t work out, he could be a movie star. He could be a Jean-Claude Van Damme. Maybe do it at the same time. I creeped on his Instagram after seeing that flip, just kind of going back in his history and he’s like 17 years old running up a grass hill with three tires tied to him.”
