Alistair Overeem är Jacksons MMA nyaste tillskott i tungvikt. Travis Browne var snabb med att välkomna den forne motståndaren. Nu har tonen ändrats från Browne.
Det blev klart förra månaden att Alistair Overeem (37-13, 1NC) anslutit sig till Greg Jackson MMA. Redan då hörde vi från hans förre detta motståndare Travis Browne (16-2-1) då han meddelade att Overeem var välkommen till Jacksons MMA.
Under gårdagens the MMA hour hörde vi en annan ton från Browne, där han sa att Alistair antingen ska bete sig som en del av teamet, eller lämna direkt.
”I think everybody’s due a chance. Just because he wasn’t the best teammate there, doesn’t mean he can’t be a good teammate here.”
Det Browne syftar på är den kritik riktad mot Overeem från de gamla träningspartnerna. Han menar att det inte kommer funka sådär på Jackons MMA.
”When he comes to Jackson’s, the stuff that all his other teammates were saying he did, is not going to fly at Jackson’s. He will not have the opportunity to even let it get that far.”
Browne tror att Blackzilians tog hand om honom lite för mycket, och att Overeem kunde göra det han ville. Han säger också att det inte kommer fungera så hos Jacksons, och lämnar ett tydligt meddelande till Overeem.
”You’re either part of the team or your not. If you’re not part of the team, you can get the hell out out of here. We don’t need you here. We didn’t ask you to come here, you asked to come here, so you see something here that you need. So, you’re either part of the team, or leave.”
Travis Browne kommer senast från en domsluts förlust mot Fabricio Werdum (18-5-1) om vem som skulle utamana om tungviktstiteln härnäst.
