Luke Rockhold och Chris Weidman var båda gäster ikväll på The MMA Hour och de har lite olika syn på vem som är ett hårdare motstånd, Weidman själv eller Michael Bisping.
Chris Weidman (13-1) sade på The MMA Hour att han gav Luke Rockhold (15-2) en gåva genom att dra sig ur matchen på UFC 199. Han anser att ersättaren Michael Bisping (28-7) är ett mycket lättare motstånd, något som Rockhold inte håller med om över huvud taget.
”I think Weidman might have been easier, in my opinion. Bisping is just a little bit funner. It’s more tactical. I’m gonna enjoy it more. It’s gonna be funner for the fans. Weidman kind of fights ugly and fights with his balls. Comes forward and might get a little sloppy. I’d pick him off fairly early. I think he overextends.”
Det verkar som om Rockhold ser mer fram emot att möta Bisping igen än att möta Weidman igen. Han föredrar Bispings stil framför Weidmans, då engelsmannen fightas mer taktiskt och inte bara går på hårt rakt fram.
”It excites me more. It’s gonna be fun for me. It’s gonna be fun for the fans. I like tactical battles. I like outsmarting him. I like adjusting and making my points. Weidman just kind of fights like an idiot. He just fucking runs forward and exposes himself and kind of overcommits and relies on his toughness. Bisping tries to make it more tactical and I enjoy that, that process of finding my shots and outdoing him, outsmarting him in the cage and putting him away.”
Trots olikheterna i Bispings och Weidmans stilar så tror Rockhold att han skulle vinna på samma sätt.
”I think they’re both in the same department. I think I’d finish the fights in similar fashion.”
