Kan en match mellan Miesha Tate och Bethe Correia vara i görningen? De två topp-tio rankade bantamviktarna verkar åtminstone vilja möta varandra då ordkriget inte precis håller god ton.
Vid det här laget är det ingen hemlighet att Miesha Tate (17-5) och Bethe Correia (9-1) inte är bästa vänner. Långt ifrån det till och med.
Efter att brasilianskan gjort klart att hon vill ha en match mot Tate trappades rivaliteten upp då Correia tog till liknande metoder som inför hennes senaste förlust mot Ronda Rousey (12-1) då hon bland annat uppmanade Tate till att pensionera sig. I en intervju med Inside MMA gav ”Cupcake” sina tankar om vad Correia verkar behöva:
”If that’s the fight that she wants, I’d be willing to step in there and teach her a lesson. Obviously, she needs a more brutal beatdown than Ronda gave her and I’d be happy to do that.”
Tate trodde att Correia skulle lära sig en läxa av KO-förlusten mot Rousey och inte bete sig såpass respektlöst mot sina kollegor men förstår nu att så uppenbarligen inte är fallet.
”She’s really just annoying me honestly and for the longest time I just kind of ignored it. I didn’t think she was really worth my time. I thought after Ronda shut her up she would kind of get the point that maybe she shouldn’t act like that and act so ignorant. Obviously, she didn’t.”
