Nikita Krylov (19-4) besegrade Marcos Rogerio De Lima (13-3-1) på UFC Fight Night 74 via submission i första ronden, men det var inte utan svårigheter.
Krylov berättade att han aldrig hade tänkt klappa till den giljotin han fastnade i som såg ut att sitta riktigt djupt.
“I wouldn’t tap,” berättade Krylov för MMAjunkie. “If anything, I would rather go to sleep. That’s how close it was to me tapping. I felt that his grip got a little bit less powerful, and I pulled my head out.”
Då Krylov nu vunnit tre matcher på raken villhan möta någon som är högre rankad än honom då Krylov vill ta sig till toppen av lättungviktsdivisionen.
“Basically, I want to get to the top,” Krylov said. “For that reason I need to fight fighters who are higher in the ratings than me. I just want to climb the ladder.”
För Krylov spelar det ingen roll vem han får möta.
“It doesn’t really matter much to me,” Krylov said. “There are matchmakers here to make that decision. They can match the fight so well that it will be exciting for the fans.”
