Det är inte bara Bethe Correia (9-1) som har frågat om ett möte med Miesha Tate (17-5), även Sarah Kaufman (17-3) visar sitt intresse igen för en returmatch mot ’Cupcake’.
Kaufman vill gärna gå match mot Correia, Tate eller Cat Zingano (9-1), men den hon helst vill möta är Tate.
“I’m hoping I get Bethe Correia or Miesha Tate or Cat Zingano,” berättade Kaufman för MMAjunkie. “Bethe has already agreed online. She’s in. I’m in. Let’s make it happen.”
“I would love to fight Miesha; Miesha would be my No. 1,”sa Kaufman. “Two years ago she mentioned my name, she mentioned Holly’s name, and she mentioned Gina Carano’s name. Two of them weren’t available. I was, and she disappeared. She’s disappeared since then. I know she doesn’t want the fight. Maybe the UFC doesn’t want that fight right now. That fight will happen, and I will win, and Miesha will cry.”
Kaufman medger att hon inte tycker om Tate, men att hon tycker synd om henne för att hon förlorade sin titelchans och Kauman förklarar att Tate sitter i en tuff sits.
“I don’t like Miesha, but I feel for Miesha,” sa Kaufman. “She’s in a tough boat. Even a rematch when someone demolishes you is a tough sell. A third fight with you having lost the first two – and decisively losing the first two, not even coming close to winning – is a tough sell. She has four wins, and she looked pretty good in her last couple fights. She’s as tough as anyone. She will not give up. But it’s a tough sell. To be in her shoes, yeah it sucks for you, but Miesha, if you want a good fight, come get one. I’m right here. There are people who will make good fights.”
Kaufman tycker inte att Correia var redo för att möta Rousey och det enda som Correia hade var en bra story för att få fansen intresserade av matchen.
“Bethe wasn’t ready to fight Ronda,” sa hon. “She made a great storyline. It made sense in a storyline sense. She sold the fight and got fans interested in the fight even though people who know MMA were like, ‘Oh, she’s not ready to fight Ronda.’ Ronda looked good. Bethe did some good things, but she wasn’t ready, and she won’t be ready to fight me either. But she’s willing too, and that’s all I need.”
Kaufman menar att ingen vill bli slagen av henne och om hon inte får match mot Tate eller Correia, hoppas Kaufman på att få gå match mot Zingano.
“No one wants to get hit by me; it’s simple,” sa Kaufman. “If they don’t want to give me Bethe, give me that or give me the Miesha Tate fight. I want that even more. If they don’t want to give me the Miesha Tate fight, give me Cat Zingano. She must be coming back soon. I’d love that fight.
“At this point I will take any fight on any notice. Definitely, 100 percent I’m fighting before the end of the year. I will accept nothing less than that.”
