Conor McGregor skapade i vanlig ordning rabalder i augusti med sina kommentarer om WWE. CM Punk säger att de kommentarerna sårade folk.
Det var i augusti i år som Conor McGregor gav sig på WWE och främst de yngre showbrottarna, kallade John Cena för ”a big fat 40 year old failed Mr. Olympian motherfucker” och sade att han skulle slå skallen av alla efter att flera av brottarna sade att de ville se irländaren möta några av dem.
De kommentarerna togs inte så värst vänligt emot och CM Punk, som gör debut som MMA-fighter på lördag, berättade om detta under förra veckans ”conference call”. Han tror att många fick order från högre ort att besvara McGregors kommentarer.
”It’s a hard thing to comment on, you know, because the amount of people who responded to him made me feel like they were told to respond to him. You know, he’s the biggest name in sports at the moment, you know.”
Enligt CM Punk blev folk alltså inte särskilt glada av kommentarerna utan snarare tvärtom.
”There’s always grey areas when you involve that whole scene and you’re wondering is this a work, is it not a work. A lot of feelings were hurt though, I can tell you that much. I thought it was a little strange. You got to leave the emotion out of it. These guys still don’t know.”
