Medan irländaren verkar må som fisken i vattnet kan inte samma sak sägas om Jose Aldo, åtminstone om man frågar helgens motståndare. Conor McGregor tror nämligen att mästaren inte vill annat än att UFC 194 ska vara över.
Det kommer kanske inte som någon överraskning men Conor McGregor (18-2) tvivlar på Jose Aldos (25-1) vilja att överhuvudtaget vara på plats i Las Vegas den här mega-helgen.
”I feel that he feels like he’s handcuffed. He’s handcuffed and forced into this. He doesn’t want to be here. He’s forced. He is confused. He doesn’t know where he is. He doesn’t know what’s going on. He just cannot wait for it to be over, and that’s what I saw when I looked at him yesterday.”
Om matchen de två emellan lever upp till förväntningarna och Aldo levererar som lovat är McGregor däremot den första att sträcka ut handen och erbjuda sin respekt till brasilianaren.
”Respect, for me, is earned through battle. If he shows up, fights with his heart, he will have my respect. But I cannot respect a man that has run and has evaded. If he stands opposed from me and gives me the exchanges he says he can, he will have my respect.”
