Tidigare i veckan släpptes en video där man ser före detta dubbelmästaren Conor McGregor smälla till en äldre man på en pub. Mannen och ”The Notorious” ska ha hamnat i en argumentation om whiskey, varpå irländaren smäller till mannen med sin legendariska vänsterkrok.
Detta är ytterligare en i raden av flera McGregor-skandaler. Allt från att örfila funktionärer i Bellator, kasta pirror genom bussfönster och förstöra fans mobiltelefoner. Det verkar inte gå längre än ett par veckor innan McGregor är inblandad i en ny skandal.
UFC-bossen Dana White talade med Jim Rome om sin största stjärna någonsin och White ställde sig frågande till hur länge McGregor tänkt hålla på med skandalerna.
”When you are dealing with fighters, there is always something” sade White. ”Every time you take a professional fighter and you sprinkle a ton of money on top of it – get ready for a disaster.”
”You get to a point where you look at a guy like Conor [McGregor] and the bus incident in New York right. And all the other things. What’s the number? What’s it going to cost Conor McGregor before he decides ’Allright, this isn’t worth it. Enough is enough. I need to stop doing this.”
“The incident in New York cost him millions. Millions he had to pay out. He had to pay the guy with the phone. What’s he going to pay this guy that he hit in the bar? The list just goes on and on. I just don’t know when he wakes up and says ‘I’ve got to stop doing this’.”
