Demetrious Johnson tar sig an Kyoji Horiguchi på UFC 186 nu i helgen. Johnson har ofta beskyllts för att ha en tråkig personlighet och att inte kunna dra stor publik och det är något Johnson är trött på att höra.
Johnson tycker inte att det ska vara upp till en fighter att promota sig.
”Of all the sports, this is the only sport scrutinized where it falls all on the athlete,” berättade Johnson. ”Why does it always come down to blaming the athlete for not selling the product?”
Johnson hade hoppats på att gå matcher, visa sin teknik och att avsluta matcher skulle vara tillräckligt för att få många intresserade av att se han fightas.
”When I got into this sport, I thought all I had to do was beat people and finish fights and everything else would take care of itself,” sa Johnson.
