Brock Lesnar undantas från de gällande dopingreglerna. Detta gillas inte alls av Mark Hunt, som ska möta honom på UFC 200 i juli.
UFC har som bekant gjort ett undantag i dopingreglerna för Brock Lesnar (5-3) som behandlas som en debutant istället för en pensionerad fighter och därmed bara behöver påbörja dopingtester en månad innan en fight. Detta har retat upp hans motståndare på UFC 200, Mark Hunt (12-10), som tycker att detta är mycket orättvist. Detta sade han i en intervju med Fox Sports Australia.
”I don’t think that’s fair. I think it’s load of bullshit, I think it’s rubbish. I don’t think anyone should be exempt from testing. If they’re trying to clean the sport up — mixed martial arts — this is a bad way to do it. I don’t care who you are. It’s ridiculous.”
Även Dana White vet exakt vad han tycker om detta beslut.
”I’ve already voiced my opinion to Dana about it but apparently he (Lesnar) has been getting tested but he’s probably been off a couple of cycles anyway.”
Hunt tror att Lesnar är mycket dopad men Hunt tror att det kan bli en vinst ändå.
”I think he’s juiced to the gills — and I still think I’m going to knock him out,”
”I love competition but I just don’t think it’s fair. I mean, I don’t think it’s an even playing field. But it doesn’t mean you’re not going to get knocked out. Frank Mirwas juicing and he got knocked out.”
”The same thing’s going to happen with Brock Lesnar.”
