Michael Bisping mötte Vitor Belfort i en match 2013. Matchen slutade med att Belfort knockade Bisping med en huvudspark. Under matchen gick Belfort på testosteronterapi vilket var tillåtet då matchen ägde rum. I helgen så gick Belfort sin första match utan testosteronterapin och det var den första han förlorade på sina 4 senaste matcher. Bisping anser att Belfort enbart vann sina matcher på grund av testosteronterapin.
Michael Bisping (26-7) mötte Vitor Belfort (24-11) i Januari 2013. Under den perioden så genomgick Vitor Belfort testosteronterapi vilket många ansåg vara fusk trots att det var godkänt när matchen ägde rum. Belfort dominerade flera motståndare när han gick under testosteronterapin. Belforts match mot Chris Weidman (13-0) under helgen var den första utan testosteronterapin. Under matchen blev Belfort överkörd och såg betydligt mindre muskulös ut.
Bisping är en av dem som reagerat och påstått att Belfort inte har något att komma med utan testosteronterapin:
“I looked at (Belfort), and he looks like half the man he used to be, quite literally. His legs look like two little chicken legs dangling out of a female’s body, and he looked like, to be honest, my 14-year-old son could have beaten him up. Chris Weidman made him look like the coward he is.”
Bisping är tydlig med att han vill ha en rematch och att han ansåg den förra matchen var orättvis på grund av testoteronterapin:
“Of course, I would like to avenge the loss on my record, but I’m not sure avenge is the correct word. I mean, he was on TRT, so it was kind of an unfair advantage. I want to kick him in the head and punch him in the face, it’s as simple as that. Whatever way around will get it done is fine by me. But I’m focused on the title. Fighting Vitor isn’t something that’s going to help achieve that, but I would love to punch that guy in the face.”
