På plats hos Team Quest i Temecula i Kalifornien tog MMAnytt chansen att tala med Cyrille Diabaté om hans kommande match mot Jörgen Kruth på UFC: Sweden den 14 april.
”…it´s always been a pleasure watching him fight. I think he´s one of the more technical heavyweights out there. His muay thai is definitely world class. He´s been a world champ a couple of times so I´m not taking this fight lightly at all you know. Everybody rates my stand up and I think I´ve proved in the UFC [that] I´m a dangerous striker.My opponent is going to be a dangerous fighter as well. So I think it´s going to be a stand up war but I´m pretty sure we´re gonna mix it up and it´s going to be a MMAfight rather than a K-1 type fight.”, säger Diabaté i intervjun ovan med MMAnytt.
I intervjun berättar Diabaté även om hur det kom sig att han etablerade kontakt med Team Quest och om MMA:n i hemlandet Frankrike och hans förhoppningar för sporten där då den i dagsläget inte är tillåten att tävla i.
