Nate Diaz satte stopp för Conor McGregors framfart inom UFC. Efter att returmatchen ställdes in har det talats om en ombokning, men samtidigt ryktats att McGregor ska ta sig an boxaren Floyd Mayweather härnäst. Diaz är dock skeptisk.
Förhandlingarna för en ny returfight mellan Nate Diaz (19-10) och Conor McGregor (19-3) är på gång, men verkar ha vissa motgångar.
I en intervju med Fox Sports verkar det handl om att UFC inte vill Diaz honom tillräckligt betalt.
”I just told them that I was one of the biggest fights you’ve ever had on 10 days’ notice, and I just beat your biggest draw. So if you don’t mind, I would like to be compensated better than I was the last time or what they were trying to offer me.”
Ryktena om att McGregor skulle möta Floyd Mayweather (49-0 boxning) lägger han inte någon vikt vid.
”Now they’re talking that Mayweather shit, it’s all a cover up. It’s all trying to hide the fact that he got his ass whooped and that they want to buy him more time to get better if we are going to fight. I think the Mayweather thing’s a publicity stunt. I call your bluff.”
Om boxningsmatchen blir av har han inte mycket hopp för Conor, men är samtidigt trött på boxarnas skitsnack.
”All the boxers are criticizing Conor like ’Conor will get embarrassed’. You’re right, but that’s a real arrogant thing to say. You want to know something that’s even more embarrassing? If Floyd fought Conor in a MMA match.”
Enligt Diaz skulle han dock kunna rå på dem båda.
”I’m the only one out of the three of us that will say I will whoop both of their asses in one night. You want a real fight, put me with one of those boxers and I guarantee you I can beat them at boxing.”
