Karriären ”post”-UFC varade i nästan exakt ett år då ”AK Kid” nyligen delgav beslutet om att han är färdig med professionell MMA.
Cody McKenzie (15-6) är mer än sju och ett halvt år sedan proffsdebuten färdig med MMA. Amerikanen delgav under gårdagen beslutet på Twitter, efter att som följd av UFC-karriärens slut för ett år sedan vunnit en och förlorat två matcher för tre olika organisationer. Inte ett optimalt avslut på karriären med andra ord.
”I’m done fighting I would call it retiring but I never made no money so yea I quit. I have never had a hater hate on my to my face. Wish they would,” löd hans korta och något bittra tweet.
Om man ser till den blott 27-årige McKenzies Twitterflöde i oktober detta år kan en potentiell förklaring hittas till vad som ligger bakom beslutet och av allt att döma har han med stor sannolikhet inget hem i UFC om han skulle bestämma sig för att komma tillbaka till sporten.
