Conor McGregor bryter ner knockouten av Jose Aldo vid UFC 194: Aldo vs. McGregor.
Conor McGregor intervjuades av UFC-korrespondenten Megan Olivi direkt efter knockoutsegern över Jose Aldo vid UFC 194: Aldo vs. McGregor i lördags. Olivi ber McGregor beskriva hur knocken över Aldo gick till sett ur hans perspektiv:
”I just wanted to enjoy it. A lot of people force their shots and I honestly believe that power is an illusion, it’s, the perception of power is like if it’s tense and squeezed, but that can be seen a mile away, so I just like to place, and just let it go, its 4 ounce-gloves, you just need to tip the chin, and that’s it”.
Olivi frågar McGregor om han någonsin inför matchen tänkte att han skulle kunna avsluta matchen så fort som han gjorde:
”Yeah, I wasn’t far off, I said it would be over in one round. I did predict the shot, I did say his right hand would get him in trouble, that he would over-extend on the right hand with that force and power, and I actually did say I would slip and bang with the left hand, I’m sure that will surface, that I did say that exact shot. So once again, Mystic Mac comes true”.
Megan frågar McGregor varför ingen ingen av hans motståndare hittils har stått pall för hans vänsternäve:
”I don’t know. It’s to clean, to precise. That’s it. I hit you and you fall”
McGregor avslutar intervjun med att säga att han vill fightas om lättviktsbältet, men att en match mot Frankie Edgar kan vara aktuell innan han går upp till lättviktsdivisionen. Megan påminner McGregor om att han tidigare lovat att han ska köpa en Porsche till sin flickvän i julklapp varpå han säger: ”I dont know we will see, I’ll get her something good for christmas”.
