Det kan inte ha undgått så många att det igår framkom att Dakota Cochrane, en av de fighters som ska vara med i ”The Ulitmate Fighter 15”, har varit med i gayporrfilmer. Nu vill Cochrane förklara sig och säger att han gjorde filmerna under tiden han studerade på college för att han behövde pengar och filmerna var ett snabbt sätt att få det. Men att Dakota skulle vara homosexuell stämmer inte, han har en fästmö och är pappa till två pojkar.
”It’s definitely a decision I regret. If I would have known what would happen I definitely wouldn’t have done it. But I had money issues and I needed help. I went there to do pictures, and they started throwing pretty high numbers in front of me. I didn’t really think. It was a big mistake.”, säger Cochrane till MMA Fighting.
Att han medverkat i dessa filmer är inget Dakota vill dölja. Ärlighet varar längst och i sitt ansökningsband till TUF 15 berättar han om filmerna.
”I think it’s a little bit courageous for both of us,” säger Cochrane om UFCs beslut att låta honom delta i programmet. “I could just hide in a hole and no one would know except for the people close to me. And to them, I was up front. I let them know right away so it wasn’t anything that could come back and bite them in the butt. I think maybe they respected that a little bit. I think some people judge against it, some people will be OK with it. Some people will want me to get my butt kicked, and hopefully others will respect what I’m trying to do.”
Nu är det bara att hoppas på att Dakota Cochrane får bevisa vad han går för och att ingen dömer honom för det han gjort när han var ung.
