UFC VD:en uttryckte en hel del besvikelse över welterviktarens senaste prestation.
I det delade huvudevenemanget för morgonens gala fick den hoppfulle brottaren se sig besegrad efter en dominant insats av hans motståndare, Rory ”Ares” MacDonald (17-2).
Tyron ”The Chosen One” Woodley (13-3), som innan matchen uttryckt sina framtida planer att erövra welterviktstiteln, hade minst sagt en tuff kväll under UFC 174. Den ensidiga förlusten följdes av skarp kritik från UFCs VD Dana White.
”He choked in the big fight tonight,” sade White, uppenbart besviken på welterviktarens prestation. Framförallt fokuserade White sin kritik runt vad han ansåg var en brist på initiativtagande och aggression.
”He needed to come out and try to rip that head of in the third round. He didn’t even do that. He threw a few punches, missed and… just sorta set back into the way he thought the rest of the fight”.
”He got beat tonight. He got beat mentally, he got beat physically.
Tyron’s got ways to go. Seems like he chokes in the big fights.”
