Mark Hunt har varit lite i limbo under den senaste tiden sedan han blivit nekad visum till USA på grund av en tidigare arrestering. Han är fortfarande kvar i Nya Zeeland och visum-problemen har ännu inte löst sig, men UFC själva hoppas att allt kommer att ordna sig till helgen.
”As you know, Mark has experienced a visa issue that we are working through at the moment,” säger UFC:s kommunikationsansvarige Dave Sholler på telefonpresskonferensen inför UFC 160. ”To put anything to rest, we are confident that the issue will be resolved, and we anticipate Mark competing in the co-main event of UFC 160. Out team is working through the issue and we anticipate Mark making his way to the U.S. this weekend.”
För Mark Hunts del så har han andra problem än att bara ta sig in i landet. Om nu visum-problemet skulle lösa sig så har han problemet med jet-lag och liknande. Men för närvarande är det bara att vänta.
”The only thing I got from the U.S. consulate is that we’ll call you,” berättar Hunt på telefonpresskonferensen. ”It is just frustrating. But what can you do?”
