“Right before I was walking out for the fight I was trying to get myself a good mental check and I just put myself back to when I was on The Ultimate Fighter and I kept telling myself ‘win one more fight, win one more fight, and you are going to get that much closer to being the TUF-champ’, and right before this fight with Jim I did the same: “Win this one, win this one, and you are in the top 15. Just one more fight, so I can keep working myself up that ladder and become the champion’”.
“I am going for the title, and you know what, I think it showed tonight. Jim Miller doesn’t get finished very often, let alone the way it happened. I ain’t the prettiest, I fight ugly, but I win, that’s all that matters”.
”One of my best attributes that I have had since I started to fight is scrambling, and I scramble the best when people goes for submissions against me. I am not afraid if a guy goes for a sub, I am just going to scramble and scramble”.
